Zawajy Privacy & Child Safety Policy
1. General Provisions
This Zawajy application (hereinafter referred to as the "Application") is operated by ZAWAJY LTD and is intended only for adults who have reached the age of majority (18+). The Application does not target children and does not allow participation by minors. This Privacy & Child Safety Policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") explains what data we collect, how we use and protect it, and how we comply with Google Play Child Safety Standards, including our explicit zero-tolerance policy against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE).
2. Data Collection
We collect the following user data:
- Data provided when creating an account and filling out the marriage/dating questionnaire (e.g., name, age 18+, gender, country, city, religious preferences, marital intentions, lifestyle);
- Contact details (e.g., email address) used for account recovery and user support;
- Content and data created inside the Application (e.g., wali-supervised messages, complaints, reports, matches);
- Technical information (e.g., IP address, device model, operating system, app version, language, usage logs) needed for security, fraud prevention, and service improvement;
- Information about interactions with the Application (e.g., session duration, actions in the app, subscriptions).
3. Data Usage
The collected data is used for the following purposes:
- Providing and maintaining the operation of the Application, including matching users for halal marriage (nikah);
- Ensuring safety, moderation, and compliance with Islamic communication principles, including supervised/wali communication where available;
- Protecting users from abuse, fraudulent activity, spam, and any behavior that may be related to CSAE or threats to children;
- Improving the functionality of the Application, developing new features, and analyzing anonymized statistics;
- Communicating with users regarding support, security alerts, and policy updates;
- Fulfilling legal obligations, including cooperation with competent authorities in cases involving child safety or illegal content.
4. Zero-Tolerance for CSAE and Child Safety Standards
The Application strictly prohibits:
- Any form of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE), including creation, storage, distribution, or request of content of a sexual nature involving minors;
- Attempts to contact, solicit, groom, or otherwise involve minors in conversations or relationships through the Application;
- Use of the Application to identify, approach, or exploit minors;
- Any behavior that may endanger the safety, dignity, or privacy of children.
- If we detect or receive a report of such activity, the related account may be immediately suspended or terminated, and—where applicable—we may report the case to competent authorities or child protection organizations in accordance with applicable laws.
- This section is published to meet Google Play's requirement for social/dating apps to have public, functional standards explicitly prohibiting CSAE and to comply with child safety laws.
5. Age Restriction (18+ Only)
The Application is intended solely for adult users who have reached the age of 18 or the age of majority in their jurisdiction.
- We do not knowingly collect or process personal data of children or minors.
- If we become aware that a user is underage, we may delete or block their account and, if required by law, preserve data for law enforcement.
- Users are responsible for providing accurate age information when registering.
6. Data Sharing with Third Parties
We do not sell or rent users’ personal data. We may transfer personal data to third parties only in the following cases:
- When it is necessary for the technical operation of the Application (for example, hosting providers, anti-fraud services, analytics tools) and such parties process data under data protection agreements;
- When required by a lawful request from government or law enforcement authorities, especially in cases related to CSAE, exploitation, fraud, or threats to users;
- When it is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Zawajy, ZAWAJY LTD, our users, or the public.

9. Reporting Abuse, Suspicious Activity, or CSAE
If you encounter content or accounts that may be related to child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), grooming, or threats to children, please report it immediately.

We review such reports promptly and may block the account, remove the content, preserve evidence, and cooperate with law enforcement when necessary.
10. Subscription and Auto-Renewal
The Application may offer auto-renewable subscriptions (for example, Zawajy Premium). Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to the user’s account upon purchase confirmation.
Users can manage and cancel subscriptions in their account settings (App Store / Google Play).
Subscription types, duration (1 month / 6 months / 12 months), and prices are displayed in the Application at the moment of purchase.
Preserving evidence and access logs in cases involving child safety or CSAE reports.
11. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update or amend this Policy to reflect changes in legislation, Google Play requirements (including Child Safety Standards), or the functionality of the Application. The updated version will be published in the Application or on our website. We recommend reviewing the Policy periodically.

A functional link to the Terms of Use (License Agreement / EULA) must also be provided in the store listing or inside the Application.
The Application metadata must contain valid, publicly available links so that Google Play can verify compliance with Child Safety Standards.
